NATURAL photo session
I suppose you already know Andrea Rubinstein. There is no need to introduce her again.
But let me tell you about last Sunday: we had another photo session. She had the idea of making some pictures with white tones, natural make up – so natural that you’ll think there is no make-up, and the whole picture should focus on the hair.
Monica, a great make up artist was a real help in this situation :)
After that we started to play a bit more with the lights and lines, and with make up too…
And here are the results, I hope you’ll like them.
design for Andrea Rubinstein
Here she is, a great hairstylist: Andrea Rubinstein. I’ve already presented her in “Spring’s first photo session“. Since she came back from London, we began to work together. Actually, we’re about to have an exhibition, hopefully everything will be ready ’till the end of march. But I’ll talk about this project later. So she came back to Oradea, and she started her own business, and for that to work well she needed to advertise.
First I’ve made a business card. Then she had the idea of making a flyer that also includes the tariff. After that she went to an advertising agency and published an article about the postmodern romanticism in hairstyles in their brochure.
We wanted to create something modern and contemporary, with vivid colors (but using just a few contrasts) and strong typographic fonts. I think it turned out really great :)
In the meantime we had another photo session, I’ll write about that next time.
ADORA project
It was in December, when Hanan Levin wrote me on deviant art and asked me to participate in his new art project. Two years ago he had his first child. Recently he started commissioning artists from all over the world to create unique work based on photographs of his baby daughter. Each piece is published on his blog adding a new & different entry to it every day. I really liked the idea of this project, but in December I had a lot of work to do… so I promised, that next year I’ll make a watercolor for this project.
And here we are, I’ve just finished the painting, already sent him the pictures. This is how it looks like:
I used watercolor, charcoal and ink on paper. And a dried flower.
He likes it a lot and I’m really glad about it :) It was a great experience for me to participate in the ADORA project. Thanks again Hanan!!!!
Portrait with LIGHTs & Watercolor
Last Sunday we has a great photo session with a dear friend of mine: Edina Kiss.
She arrived at 7pm, we had dinner: I’ve made tortillas, she brought desert, and after that she made my make-up, I ruffled my hair, than we both cursed for about 10 minutes the fake eyelashes… and we were ready :) We wanted to do try something new, so we’ve played with laser lights.
My room isn’t the best place for a session like this, but we had a great time. After 4 hours we were ready, took one more look at the pictures, selected a few and talked about the processing of them. We the idea of making some portraits with watercolor splashes too, Edina said that it looks great on my paintings, so let’s see how it’ll look on me :) And here is the result:
There will be an exhibition, hopefully soon, and the theme that everybody has to work on is LIGHTS & MUSIC. We really hope that our work will hold water :)
And before I forget it. We’ve also made a little video of our work. Here you can take a look at it. Have fun!
